It's small business week. What are you doing to support small and local businesses? I've been highlighting some of the local business owners who are members of Tenleytown Main Street on my blog. To kick off the interviews, I posted a video. Over the next few weeks I posted my mini interviews. Tenleytown Main Street Membership With all the media hype encouraging holiday shopping each year, most people know that the Friday after Thanksgiving is known as Black Friday. And with all the Internet ads you're probably aware that the Monday after Thanksgiving is known as Cyber Monday. Did you know that the Saturday after Thanksgiving is known as Small Business Saturday? Last October was a great month for my brokerage, my team, and for me. We had just launched our new office and joined a local business organization called Tenleytown Main Street.
