I was on a flight recently when the pilot announced: "We're not expecting any turbulence or flight delays today." Which words stood out? Turbulence and Flight Delays! Our brains do not process negatives easily. real estate: Getting Clients to Refer You (Continued) - 02/20/08 04:51 AM
I received a lot of mixed comments on asking your clients at the table for 3 referrals.  May I remind you, this was just a suggestion I received at a seminar.
One idea I liked off of the comments was to give the client a survey with a self stamped envelope so they can take their time filling it out and then give it back to you.
I personally feel that our team provides some of the best services possible to the clients who choose to work with us.  Our level of expertise allows us to protect them in negotiaions, find them the right home … (1 comments)

Today I heard a great way to explain a buyer's representation aka buyer's agency agreement.  They said to explain it as a football game.  No matter who you are, everyone can relate to football.  Here's how you explain it.

I attended a seminar where the speaker told everyone to get a Neat Receipts machine.  It's basically a scanner that has software to store your receipts, business cards, etc. on your computer.  The scanner automatically reads the receipts, labels it, and puts it into a folder.  After that, you have a copy on your computer that you don't have to search for.  During tax time, you can go to your computer and print the tax sheet out and the scanner has already put everything into a very organized page that you can take to your tax professionals.  It's a great machine.

My real estate team purchased an audio copy of the Millionaire Real Estate Agent book.  It seems that's the whole way to read a book now...by listening to it. 
I have only made it through the first chapter so far...but it stated several interesting things so far.  One such interesting fact is that we tend to aim low....or set our goals too low.  We need to set higher goals, but with that in mind, we need to be prepared.  The book told the example of someone wanting to climb Mt.
