music: Will you be a 1 hit wonder in 2008. - 01/20/08 01:31 AM
First and foremost I would like to think One Hit Wonder Central for providing the research data and youtube for providing the videos for this blog. I started thinking about doing this blog a couple of weeks ago and never could find the time. The music in here refers to the band producing a number 1.
2008 and 8 is starting out to be a Great Year. With that said, I know there were a lot of groups in the past that thought the same thing. 8 is great, so lets focus on the last 4 decades and I want to take … (12 comments)

music: Pocket Full of Gold - 01/09/08 03:46 AM
When I originally heard this song, it took me back in time to finding out my brother-in-law had cheated on my sister. Since that time, I got over it and moved along. With that being said, this song has a very powerful meaning to it still. Many people in our industry walk around daily with a pocket full of gold and never realize it. You ask "What are you talking about. I would know if I have gold in my pocket." Well, let me tell you what I am talking about. It is your updated business cards. I have met so … (10 comments)

music: Childhood Music Memories - 01/06/08 04:47 PM
The year is 1976. I was a 9 year old boy with older siblings that subjected me to so many different genres of music, that I thought that I would be more than a little messed up.
My first taste of Rock & Roll was at this time and the group that I feel in love with as a 9 year old boy was Boston. The song that always takes me back to my child memories from 1976 is "More than a Feeling". Now, you say, how does this song influence a 9 year old. Well, first, you have to know that … (16 comments)

music: Today is a sad day - 12/25/07 12:42 AM
First off, let me say that I am sorry to have to be writing this to you today.
For all the ones that read my BLOG Don't Take The Girl you know what I have been dealing with over the last 9 days. Well, this is not going to be the easiest write that I have ever done here, but probably one of the shortest. Nothing fancy, nothing elaborate.
This morning around 12:15 AM EST, I got the call. They told me how peaseful that it was for her. I could here the hurt in their voices as they said the typical statements. … (51 comments)

music: Give Me Something to Believe In - 12/22/07 12:15 AM
First off, I want to thank the creators of Inspired By Song! for creating this awesome group. Adam Waldman along with his other two Horsemen, Jason Crouch & Paul Slaybaugh, put together a great forum here for all the music lovers to work within. Each of the culprits are picture below and if you encounter them, approach with caution as they are extremely harmless.

OK, time to get back on track now that I have paid homage to the Forum Lords.
Years and Years ago, Poison put out this song, Something to Believe In. When one sits and listens to the … (15 comments)

music: A Tribute to Dan Fogelberg - 12/17/07 12:42 AM
Dan Fogelberg is dead at age 56. I did not know this until Linda Frutal actually said something to me last night during a conversation. It is sad when a musical legend is lost. Two songs can to mind when I heard the news.
The first and foremost that I remember Was Leader of the Band and the second one was Run of the Roses.
It is hard to believe at age 56, he is gone. We will never again here this great artist perform live.
In a tribute to him, I have attached both these songs here for your listening … (15 comments)

music: Do you know where you are going to? - 11/26/07 05:41 AM
Diana Ross wrote this Song in 1976 and when you listen to it, it has a lot of meaning to it. It makes you stop and think. Do you like what life is showing you? Do you get what you hopeing for?
When in high school, the biggest step is when you graduate. It hits you one day that you have to have a path thought out. Sometimes that path is not the right one or has some turns on it that take us down a different road.
In today's market, this song should speak to us all as our path … (19 comments)

music: Live life like you were dying. - 11/14/07 11:58 PM
Play the music below while you read. When I first heard this song by Tim McGraw back in August of 2004, it hit home with me more than any song that I had recently heard. 10 years ago was the most trying time of my life. I had a fight on my hands that made me make a change in how I lived my life. It is kind of funny how the first few days when you get the news, you sit and stare at the report. The next few days are spent in denial. Then, once it hit me, I … (26 comments)

music: The music you enjoy defines you. - 11/06/07 03:09 AM
What does the music that a person listens to tell us about them. Simple, it tells us everything about that person. So, I decided to share my playlist with everyone to open my book up so people could learn a little more about me.
First on the block is a song by Boy Zone called "No Matter What" - It is an inspiration to me because as it states no matter what people think, I am going to be me.
Next is Kyptonite by 3 doors down. This is my song as I am always Superman. I care about the human race … (16 comments)
