Columbia Neighborhood is quiet and primarily made up of many character homes from the late 1800's to 1940's and 50's . This neighborhood is the second oldest neighborhood in Bellingham and the Columbia district has a strong sense of community. It's difficult to drive through the area and not see Columbia residents out talking with each other. Unlike most Bellingham Neighborhoods, Columbia is a relatively flat section of town which makes it a great area to walk and bike. Along the southwest end of Columbia lies Eldridge Avenue overlooking Bellingham Bay and many of Bellingham's Historic homes can be found along Eldridge and within a block or two.
