8000 tax credit: 8000 Tax Credit Extended and a Nice Surprise for Current Homeowners! - 11/10/09 03:38 AM

On Nov. 6 President Obama signed legislation that extends the first time home buyer (FTHB) tax credit of 2009 and expands the tax credit to include $6,500 for current homeowners who qualify.  Commonly known as the $8,000 tax credit, the following info from the "Worker, Homeownership and Business Assistance Act of 2009" covers the key points of the legislation that was passed:
