In the Real Estate market we are in, and have been for a few years, everyone is aware that the time to sell their home is longer now. But, just becuase it is taking on average of six months or longer to sell a home; do you need to be locked in with a Realtor for that time period? Or can you cut your contract early without penalty and go with another Realtor? The other day I talked with a couple who had their home on the market. They said that the Realtor was unresponsive to phone calls, e-mails and never told them (4 comments)
selling your home: Does the Company Matter When Listing A Home?

I had an interesting question posed to me the other day from a prospective seller. Their question stemmed from whether you are really hiring the Realtor to sell your home or the company. A good question and one I have to admit I have not really considered to be a difference factor when it came to hiring a Realtor to sell your home. Are you asking them their marketing ideas? Are they asking you for feedback? Are they sharing their ideas with you? Sellers hire a Realtor for their expertise in helping get a home sold and negotaitng the best possible deal for them. We also market the home and study the market trends and what is happening in the neighborhood. All these variables help us to explain to you what the market is doing and how (0 comments)
selling your home: Does Writing "Motivated Seller" Help You Sell Your Home?
- 09/01/10 01:21 PM
If you are selling your home and have been reading my blogs for the past week or so you might notice a trend. I recently had a couple of weeks where I have viewed 30+ homes to a few different buyers. Most of the homes have been on the market for longer than they should have been. There are numerous reasons as to why. One of my personal favorites though is "motivated seller". Who, in today's market that is trying to sell a home is not motivated? Would any of us be selling our home if we did not have to (2 comments)
