After receiving 200 inches in the last 2 weeks on top of an epic season, Lake Tahoe is buried! The upper mountain at Alpine Meadows now boasts a 297" snow-pack with 172" at the base lodge. 297 inches is 24.75 feet! Year to date snow totals in Alpine Meadows are now at +/- 800 inches for the season, truly amazing. Here are some photos I took today while driving around the Alpine Meadows neighborhood, enjoy:

In Alpine Meadows, CA we are seeing a welcomed change in the condo/townhouse market as buyers are taking advantage of distressed sales and well priced listings. In the last 2 weeks we have seen 3 units out of 14 go into escrow and there are a few units that are in contract negotiations that will likely enter escrow within the next week! Tahoe is getting ready for a week of large weather events that could drop up to 10 feet of snow in the region. Although this is awesome news for skiers and boarders it is also a time to make sure you are prepared as the roads are going to be bad, visibility is going to be non-existant as snow rates are supposed to be 1-2 inches per hour for most of the week, and most likely power will be lost at some point.
