Way back when, I used to be the test guinea pig in my office. I would try everything that was new, looked cool or was just offered for sale with a good pitch! I bought every speaker's tapes and marketing/sales systems. (I'm sure many of you can relate) Most of that stuff sat on the shelf or in a ...

Ok so Ernesto didn't quite blow like the media expected or wanted! Lousy for them because it makes for good news! South Florida survived (this time). It's sad though how this insignificant storm overshadowed the 1 year anniversary of Katrina (at least in our market). I'm hopeful that the storm re...

Something that has concerned me lately, perhaps even alarmed me, is the way our profession is embracing technology! While technology is a wonderful thing, let's not forget that one can get overwhelmed. Let's also consider that agents, especially new ones, tend to be gullible and believe that they...

As Realtors, we must deal with restless, anxious & frustrated Sellers. They blame us for their homes not selling as quickly as ...

Gruel that is! Here's a subject that I'm sure hasn't been beaten to death on this site! It's FOOD, Glorious Food!Tonight I ate at the Grand Lux, owned by the Cheese Cake Factory people. If you haven't had the pleasure of dining there, it's well worth the wait (sometimes over an hour). Huge menus ...

Who created our business model that says we have to work 7 days a week 14 hours or more a day!  I bet there are many agents out there that wish there was an 8th or 9th day to work!  I have proven that you can be successful yet not work more than 5 days a week and less than 40 hours per week! I ba...

For years I've offered my listing clients an "easy out" listing agreement. I suggest that if they are unhappy with me or my service, they can cancel their listing agreement at any time without cost or cause.  It helped me get many more listings as it takes the fear out of being stuck with a lousy...
