Well, it is that time of year.  TAX TIME!!!  And we are all looking for the most write off’s we can.  And owning a home has many.  One special deduction for the year 2011 is that you can write off Mortgage Insurance.  This was not true in the past and at this point it does not look like you will be able to write it off in 2012.  But, who knows what will happen in the future.  Here are the exact rules for being able to write off your Mortgage Insurance on your 2011 Tax Returns:

2011: Recycling Christmas Tree Program for Missouri City, Texas 2011 - 12/26/11 03:50 AM
If you live in Missouri City(Texas) and are looking to recycle your nature Christmas tree, here is the information you are looking for.  Below is the schedule and ways to recycle your tree(s):
 
·        You can leave your Tree at the curb for pickup on Weds 28th, Weds Jan 4th, Weds Jan 7th
·        You can drop the Tree off at the Missouri City Recycling Center at 1919 Scanlin Rd from Dec 27th thru Jan 6th. 
Please make sure the trees are removed of all decorations and stands before dropping them off.

2011: Conventional Loans with NO Mortgage Insurance. A Great Mortgage Option to Know! - 12/03/11 11:14 AM
Many times, Mortgage Insurance can be a necessary evil.  You will have mortgage insurance if you get a conventional loan and are putting less than 20% down payment.  And also if you go with a  FHA loan.  But, there is actually another option.  And it is the No Mortgage Insurance loan, otherwise known as Lender Paid Mortgage Insurance(LPMI).  To off set the lack of mortgage insurance the lender increases the rate(usually around .25% higher).  This program is based on guidelines of a regular conventional loan.  So you will need higher credit scores(680+).

2011: FHA Monthly Mortgage Insurance is Increasing April 18th, 2011 - 02/15/11 03:17 AM
FHA has just announced that their Monthly Mortgage Insurance will be increasing on all loans on April 18th.  It will be a .25% increase across the board.  This means any loan that has a FHA case number on or after April 18, 2011 will have the new higher monthly mortgage insurance.  Here are the changes: 
30 year    LTV > 95%.  was .90  will be 1.15
30 yr    LTV = or < 95% was .85  will be 1.10
15 yr   LTV > 90%  was .25  will be .50
15 yr   LTV < 90%  was 0  will be .25
