MANY! Think about it. When they deployed to Iraq in the summer of 2006, a lot of them gave up their government quarters, off post/base rentals and some sold their homes. Why would they need to keep it if they were leaving for over a year? The exact same thing happened when I returned with the 25th ID from Schofield Barracks, Hawaii after (8 comments)

Military Spouse: The Toughest Job in the World By: David Kucic, Hawaii Real Estate Agent 1SG, USA (Ret) It is easy to pack a few bags, get on a plane and head off to a foreign land to fight a battle with no front line. It is easy to wake yourself up in the morning under the rising sun in the Iraqi or Afghan sky and motivate yourself for another day in "paradise". iraq: "Pleez Help Us Mr. Kerry, We Are Stuk in Irak"

You are probably all aware of the "botched joke" (yeah, right) that John Kerry made last week. I love the response from the Soldiers that were in Iraq at the time. In case you haven't seen it, they made a large banner and painted a phrase on it that read something like "PLeez Help Us Mr. Kerry, We Are Stuk in Irak". Do you think it was really a botched joke? Are there others out there that feel the same way that John Kerry does? (7 comments)
