Real Estate Stocks Outperformed 2012 Market.
WSJ article “REITs Gained in 2012 on Economy, Housing” shows improved outlook housing and real estate market with some analysts expecting another strong year ahead.
The Dow Jones Equity ALL REITs index tracks 136 real estate investment trusts had a return last year of almost 20%, more than double 2011.
Stocks of Home Builders posted strong returns as well with the Dow Jones US Construction Index 83% higher in 2012.
