2016 Cost vs. Value Report by Remodeling Magazine.
The 2016 edition of Cost vs. Value Report by Remodeling Magazine is out and it shows that there is a slight gain in remodeling project’s payback with an average of 64.4% of a projects cost getting recouped if the home sells in one year.
The report compares the average cost of 30 popular remodeling projects against the value of those projects at resale in 100 US markets. The remodeling projects are broken up into two categories:
Midrange projects include such items as attic insulation, garage door replacement, siding replacement, deck addition and backup generator.
