Today I have spent the whole day with several of the agents from our market center ant the Keystone conference center in Keystone, Colorado. We aare training with about 500 other Keller Williams agents from all over Colorado. We are learning all kinds of things about how to help our clients Buyers or Sellers. Everything from first time home buyers to helping investors buy and sell homes. We are ineracting with lenders who are doing multiple jumbo loans and they tell me they can do them at 10% down, the value of a home warranty, and title companies who insure the (0 comments)

Today I am meeting with parents of a CSU student. They would like to find their son a home while he finishes his degree. We will be looking for newer homes near the Colorado State University Campus. They would also like to continue to help him prepare for the future. We have talked about the possible benefits of including him in the purchase. It could lead to all sorts of tax benefits for all of them, but that is an issue for them and their tax professional. Funny that today I was reading a published article from Peter G. Our local team leader and our ownership decided this year to focus our collective efforts on education. The commitment to training agents is very powerful. The training we receive helps us to be confident that we know the newest best information. In my opinion Keller Williams commitment to education is unmatched and I am blessed to be with a great team! Today we had a prominant attorney come and teach us about Short Sales and REO properties. This helped to add to the knowlege we already have and inform us on the ever changing landscape of lender involved properties. We are very sensitive to (4 comments)

This weekend I had the privelege to meet with two seperate couples, First time home buyers. One couple Is ready jump in. We looked at several homes that fit their needs. They where quite concerned about the whole first-time buyers tax credit thing. $8,000 dollars? And all we have to do is live in the home for 3 years? "They don't just give money away" I was able to hand them a printout from a lender in town detailing the provisions of the tax credit. They see it and mostly say OK. I encouraged them to talk with a tax pro (2 comments)

LAst week I had someone ask me to do a CMA on their Home to see if they could move to a different area. They don't have to move they just want their kids in a different school district. The news was not what they wanted to hear. The recent sales show comps selling below what they paid. The gentleman in question said "I will never sell for less than what I paid!" He's a smart guy, went to business school...... I don't believe that now IS the right time for them to sell but, I had to spend some time trying (2 comments)

It was quite an honor to be selected as the Fort Collins Board of Realtors Rookie of the Year for 2008. It was very humbling to be selected. It was also great to have friends and coworkers there to share this event with me. Mike Jensen, Matt Evans and Laurie Dubose were three of the people who really helped mentor me and I am so thankful that they were there to share the evening with me. There were also several other members of the KW team there as well. I was told that my GRI completion was the deciding factor in (8 comments)
