south mountain preserve: Ahwatukee Homes For Sale - Homes For Sale in Ahwatukee - 10/30/10 06:44 AM
Homes for Sale in Ahwatukee can be found in zip codes 85044, 85045, and 85048.  Access in and out of Ahwatukee was slow in developing.  At one point it was known as the "World's Largest Cul-de-sac" because early on there was only one way in and out.  That was at Elliott Rd. and I-10.  As the community grew, freeway ramps were built at Warner Rd. followed by Ray Rd., Chandler Blvd., and finally, Pecos Rd.  Today, Ahwatukee is one of the safest and most well maintained communities in the Phoenix Metro Area.

What I like best about living in Ahwatukee - wow, there are so many things!  Homes for sale in Ahwatukee have beautiful views of South Mountain Preserve; some have city views from atop the foothills; some have golf course views as well.  It's the safest community in the Phoenix Metro area.  It's within 20 to 30 minutes of the Phoenix International Airport without the airport noise.  We have nicely appointed shopping centers and are within a few minutes of Chandler Fashion Square.  There is fine dining as well as casual dining, theatres and one of the most active YMCA's in the … (0 comments)

Al attended high school in New Jersey, just outside of Asbury Park (the easiest landmark). He couldn't wait to see sunshine, so he chose Arizona to attend college. Northern Arizona University was noted for their criminal justice program. Dawn graduated from Kubasaki High School on Okinawa. She moved to Tucson to attend the University of Arizona. She finally received her degrees from Arizona State University in Tempe. Al traveled the world working for the federal government as a Naval Criminal Investigative Service agent. Dawn lived in the Phoenix area & worked as a teacher and counselor for over 30 years. One night at Ruffino's Italian Restaurant, they met, fell in love & have been together ever since. Now, both retired from service careers, they decided to put their life experiences to work in a different realm - they entered the real estate profession at the end of the market surge. It was a lonnnggg slide downward - some might call it an E- ride! But, through the entire downturn, they've enjoyed helping young couples find their first home, retirees find the ideal community, & young families choose the perfect neighborhoods.
