 I'm not one that's been a huge fan of the recent government bailouts, but the affects growing numbers of foreclosures have on the rest of our society are working hard to sway my opinion.
I understand that approximately 1-2 out of every 10 Americans that bought a home during the housing boom shouldn't have been approved for those loans based on reasonable qualifications, which lead us to the point we're at now with the foreclosure rate rising (but that's just a leveling out of the market).

I just read this article off the REALTOR® Magazine website titled "Lenders Drowning in Applications." In the article they talk of some mortgage companies having to hire employees to help offset the surge in loan applications!
I know, the actual process of getting the money is still a little slow...but we should take this as a great sign that the buyers are still out, and they're continuing to come out in spite of media polls that show consumer confidence down.
I just hope we don't get so excited about an increase in buyers, that we start selling homes to people who can't … (1 comments)
