Vail Valley Real Estate - Over $40 million in new sales January 12-19, 2012 The Vail Valley continues with strong sales in the first month of the new year. Between January 12-19, 2012 over $40,000,000 worth of real estate has been put under contract. Spanning from East Vail to Gypsum, 27 new sales occurred during this time period. While sales under the $500k mark dominated the market in 2011, we are seeing the higher end homes selling at a stronger rate in the new year. The 2010-2011 ski-season continues to be a busy time for real estate here in the Vail Valley. Thirteen properties closed in February in the Beaver Creek Mountain areas of Arrowhead, Bachelor Gulch and Beaver Creek. Take note of another large single family home sale in Bachelor Gulch which closed at $8,900,000. Another 7 properties went under contract in this area in February. What a weekend! The weather is perfect, mid-70's and sunny, and the Vail Valley is alive with color. I went on three awesome hikes this weekend at Piney Lake, Vail Mountain, and Arrowhead Mountain. The views were spectacular, the colors vibrant, and some vistas nearly took my breath away. I hope you get a chance to visit Vail soon and catch some of this magic!
