FIRST QUARTER 2014 - Sales over $3 million: In the first quarter of 2014 there have been 17 sales over $3 million, and there are currently 24 properties under contract. In the first quarter of 2013 there were 7 sales over $3 million. FEBRUARY: Land Title Guarantee Company's monthly statistics for February just came in today in their "Eagle County Market Analysis". SNOW! Yes, another post about the white stuff that falls from the sky. But really, this season has left us snow-hounds begging for something to fall! Who knew that a La Nina year would have us aching for snowfall here in the Rocky Mountains? So far the snowfall has been light, and I mean VERY light. The good news is the past few storms have brought some great pow to the valley and slopes. It looks like the year of the Dragon might turn out alright after all. Keep it comin' Dragon! One of the best parts about living in the Vail Valley, is that the first weekend in December brings The Audi Birds of Prey World Cup races to Beaver Creek. This year the races are taking place December 2-4 with tons of fun activities to participate in and be a spectator at. I woke up this morning to a great front page of the Vail Daily, announcing USA's own Bode Miller taking a first place win in the Men’s Downhill event yesterday. This Sunday I will be volunteering at one of the most fun fundraisers the Vail Valley has to offer. “Hike, Wine & Dine” will take place this Sunday, September 25 at Beaver Creek Mountain. This easy 4-mile hike through the golden colored Aspen groves of Beaver Creek is a great way to spend your Sunday morning. You’ll be treated to food and drink along the way from some of Beaver Creek’s restaurants, and finish with dessert and wine and fellowship at the end.
