Woodmoor and Indian Spring Village are the largest of the Legal Subdivisions in the Neighborhood known as Woodmoor. 
Through his Woodmoor Development Company George J. Woodmoor and Indian Spring Village are the largest of the Legal Subdivisions in the Neighborhood known as Woodmoor.  Woodmoor's first homes were built in the late 1930s.  In the late 1930's, Indian Spring Country Club (now the Silver Spring YMCA) and Argyle Country Club (now Sligo Creek Public Golf Course) were a big draw for this quiet suburban "bedroom" community.  Saint Bernadette's Church and the opening of Saint B's school drew many young families to the Community.
