Did you know there is grant money available to help retrofit your Charleston home against potential damages from wind and severe storms? In 2007, the Omnibus Coastal Property Insurance Reform Act established the South Carolina Safe Home Grant Program known as SC Safe Home. Grant funds are available for individual homeowners to make improvements or repairs to their homes in order to reduce the impact from high winds and hurricanes.
