farmington: Apricots Restaurant in Farmington, Connecticut
- 09/27/08 07:51 AM
On a beautiful late summer day this week, I was treated to a delicious lunch at Apricots, one of Farmington's finest restaurants, located on the banks of the Farmington River. The restaurant is a landmark for both the building's history and for its local cuisine.
Diners can sit al fresco at the Patio overlooking the river, or inside at the Pub, or in one of the formal, main dining rooms. After sitting at the Patio for awhile, we chose to eat in the Pub.
Kevin Quinn, general manager, told me about some of the history of the building which (3 comments)

farmington: "Benefitting" from an Open House Tour
- 08/09/08 08:24 AM
Hello everyone! Talk about a successful open house! Last week, I sponsored a benefit for The National Theatre of the Deaf by hosting a private estate tour of a lovely home-- 41 Stonefield Road, in Farmington/Avon, Connecticut.
During the tour, six talented neighbors presented their works for everyone's enjoyment, and as we walked throughout the home, everyone could see its beauty and feel the warmth of living there. It was a beautiful, sunny evening, and when the sun set at dusk, everyone felt the hush and enjoyed the magic. We had bountiful trays of hors d'oeuvres from Carbone's Ristorante on Franklin (17 comments)
