The soil in outdoor clay pots dries out very quickly.   Poke holes in the pot with a sharp round tool to make sure water saturates the soil when you tend your plants.
Prune tropical hibiscus plants that you plant to bring indoors.  Reduce them to a size that will fit neatly in front of your sunniest window in the winter.
Remove any faded/dried crape myrtle blooms and seed clusters now.  By adding a bit of water and fertilizer now, you may get more blooms in September.
