2014 CAWS Strut Your Mutt 5K Delta, Colorado. This is a benefit for the Delta County Citizens for Animal Welfare group. CAWS is working to build a countywide animal shelter and money raised from this event will help move that project forward. This is a non competitive walk...and you can run it, too, if you would like. Cedaredge, CO Shelter Shoppe...Dedicated to Helping Local Animals. It's simply called The Shelter Shoppe. This is the place where locals can get great deals on gently used clothes, toys, books, dishes...you name it. All proceeds go to help support the Surface Creek Shelter in Delta County, Colorado. This local animal shelter is a no kill facility.

Having Just Lost A Beloved Family Pet This Poem Means So Much. After ten years, we said goodbye to Chaco for the last time. Chaco was a large mixed breed puppy that I adopted from the local animal shelter just over 10 years ago. His illness was sudden and the vet coudn't determine why he became paralyzed.
