There are many different kinds of butterflies in Colorado. This is a swallowtail or from what I can tell more specifically a Western Tiger Swallowtail. This is the most common swallowtail seen in the west and on the Western Slope of Colorado. You can attract them to your garden by planting many different types of flowers.
