I love sharing photos of my area. Nature offers me so many opportunities to get a good picture. Really it's not me...it's all nature and the beauty of my area. We've had some unsettled weather and that means clouds. There's still enough fall color left on Grand Mesa to make this picture interesting.

Recently I wrote another picture post explaining that if you stop, relax and take in the scenery around you might be surprised at what you see. This tree is no different. Everyone says this tree reminds them of the comedian, Steve Martin. You know when he would do his wild and crazy guy skits and wave his arms in the air. I guess this is a wild and crazy tree. Winter Storms Come and Go and Leave Behind Their Own Beauty. The Cedaredge Area of Delta County, Colorado didn't get as much snow as other parts of the county or even other parts of the state. The storm started off as rain, before the snow fell.
This was our first big snow of the 2013-2014 winter season.
It rained for hours before turning to snow during the early morning hours. The Cedaredge Area received about four inches of snow. That's fine. After all it is Colorado, and we do expect it to snow here.

This new station opened on Wednesday. I'll give them a plug. It's the station in the picture. There's another gas station across the street, and well you know how competition goes.
