Fishing Pa-Co-Chu-Puk Ridgway State Park...Great River Fishing Experience. When traveling through this area of Western Colorado, Ridgway Reservoir really stands out, but a great stretch of water is often overlooked on the Uncompahgre River below the dam.
Pa-Co-Chu-Puk is an Indian term meaning Cow Creek. This is one of three areas that make up Ridgway State Park. The locals just called this area "Paco".
