Spring Is On Hold...Mother Nature Is Reminding Us It's Only Mid March. Here on the Western Slope of Colorado we've enjoyed wonderful weather for the last week, or so. Temperatures were in the 50s and 60s and, I started buying sandals in anticipation of the upcoming warmer weather. I know it's only temporary, but Mother Nature is reminding us it's still early and anything can happen when it comes to the weather. My herb plants liked the warmer weather and some of them started poking their little heads up through the ground. Today we got a bit of snow and there (7 comments)

Most Of You Thought The Ground Hog Had Bad News, But Listen To This...When I came out of my house I realized a politician saw his shadow today and we are going to have 9 more months before the big election. That means we are going to have 9 more months of candidate bashing, my side is better than your side, what a candidate ate for lunch, what a candidate's spouse is wearing today and fights with your neighbor over who is going to win this November and your political yard sign is encroaching on my political yard sign. It's The Perfect Christmas Gift For the Busy REALTOR® ( NOT ), But I Love It Anyway. I've posted a few comments about my "perfect" Christmas gift, but have yet to post any pictures. My husband really struggled with what to get me for Christmas and after about ten minutes of serious thought he decided a new puppy was just what his already sleep deprived, and over worked wife, needed. My daughter took this picture with her phone. The rule in our house is no dogs on the furniture. Now tell me...Who's in trouble for this serious violation? Bear is the (26 comments)
foreclosures: It Was Another Nail Bitter, But The Denver Bronocos Pulled Out Another Win

It Was Another Nail Bitter, But the Denver Broncos Pulled Out Another Win. That makes five consecutive wins on the road. This came in the last minute with a short field goal from Prater. Before that the score was tied and The Minnesota Vikings were threatening to take over. Then The Broncos intercepted The Vikings, and I knew the game was going to be ours. The final score is 35-32. This win puts Denver in first place in the AFC West. Tebow finished the game with 10 of 15 completions. The defense did a great job...especially coming up with that interception in the last (5 comments)
foreclosures: Why Do We Fall Back and Spring Ahead?
- 11/04/11 05:48 PM
Why Do We Fall Back and Spring Ahead? Well that is a great question. I decided to find out just why we do this twice a year. In the wee hours of Sunday morning we will be switching from Day Light Savings Time (DST) to Standard Time. DST was actually started in 1918 but not widely followed. It was left up to local communities on whether or not they wanted to change their clocks back and forward. In 1966 Congress passed the Uniform Time Act which set the start and end dates of Standard Time, but didn't make it mandatory for (57 comments)

Stay, Play and Get Scared in Colorado. The Hotel Colorado is Home to Some Permanent Guests. If you are looking for a haunting good time, The Hotel Colorado may have just what you are looking for. This grand hotel is located in Glenwood Springs and has hosted some pretty famous people over the years, and some of them are refusing to leave. Walter Devereaux built this grand establishment in 1891. It was quite the draw for such famous guests as Presidents Teddy Roosevelt and William Taft. Al Capone and his buddies also spent time at the hotel. Devereaux is still said to be hanging (13 comments)
foreclosures: What Does It Mean To You??? Good Or Bad, UnEducated or NOT
- 06/26/11 07:29 PM
Some of us go through our careers just doing the minimum amount of education. We do what we have to do to get by and and we are busy people. I understand this to a point. Recently someone has been blogging and asking about what the GRI designation means. What does it mean to consumers? Some know what this means. Some don't. Does having a bunch of letters after your name, make you stand out...maybe. I don't know this for a fact, but what I do know is that I have taken the time to complete a long course to get (25 comments)
