What's better than a Jack o'lantern? A pumpkin for the cure.
Recently, while doing some research regarding the many colors of pumpkins, I discovered a new one, the Porcelain Doll. Who knew there were pink pumpkins? The creation of this lovely pumpkin has its roots in October's well-known, and worthwhile cause for, " Breast Cancer Awareness."
The "pinkish" colored gourd was developed (quite by accident) by a Colorado pumpkin farmer. When he discovered the odd pumpkin in one of his fields, about 5 years ago, he (and a fellow farmer) reasoned that pink pumpkins should be associated with Breast Cancer … (6 comments)
