camas: Distressed Properties in Camas, Washington - Short Sales and Bank Owned 12/2011 - 12/14/11 03:04 AM
Distressed properties represent good opportunities for buyers. Distressed properties are those homes that are offered for sale because of an impending foreclosure or repossession. Short sales are distressed properties in which the homeowner hopes to sell prior to the foreclosure process. A short sale is a sale in which the lender agrees to accept less than the balance due on the loan(s).

REO’s or foreclosures are bank owned properties. They are normally scooped up rather quickly, therefore, buyers need cash or solid financing prior to making an offer. If you're wondering about distressed properties available at this time in Camas, … (7 comments)

camas: I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas - What are the Odds in Camas, Washougal and Fisher's Landing? - 11/30/11 10:28 AM
Last week, after a few days of rain, the skies cleared showing snow covered hills and mountains in the distance. It's one of my favorite scenes in our Northwest landscape and I find myself dreaming - of skiing, sleigh rides and a White Christmas. In the United States, the definition of a "White Christmas," means the ground is covered with at least an inch of snow on the morning of December 25th.
The odds of a White Christmas in Camas, Washougal, Fisher's Landing and the rest of Clark County, are slim to none. According to the books, which started being … (14 comments)

Prune Hill offers a variety of neighborhoods featuring lovely view homes. Three of my favorites are Renaissance Summit, Sun Dance and Hunter Ridge.
I have sold and helped buyer purchase homes in Renaissance Summit and Sun Dance. Hunter Ridge is still under construction and has a new builder completing the project.
All three neighborhoods feature beautiful homes and are well maintained. Plus, they can't be beat if you're looking for views of the Columbia River, Mt. Hood and Portland skyline.

camas: Life in Camas, Washougal and Fisher's Landing - Its allure - 11/18/11 04:58 AM
Life in Camas, Washougal and Fisher’s Landing represents a great blend of small town charm, sophisticated industry and business, plus all the amenities you need, balanced with outdoor beauty and recreation. Can you tell I’m a fan of its allure? Not only am I a fan, but I live, work and play in the area as well. East County has been my home for about five years. Prior to that, I lived in the Lakeshore area, also a good place to call home, but East County kept tempting me with its allure. Please take a minute, actually a minute and 56 … (22 comments)

camas: Fresh or Organic? - Time to reserve your bird in Camas and East County - 11/18/11 03:51 AM
Fresh turkeys are becoming increasingly popular. Many of us reserve birds at our favorite store to ensure we have one by Thanksgiving. In Camas and East County, the stores are already taking their fresh turkey reservations.

A fresh turkey is an unfrozen bird that is chilled to 26F and then sold quickly thereafter. Many of these birds are free range and/or organic, which mean they roam about in the great outdoors, generally in large range pens. A free-range turkey normally eats whatever it finds outdoors, but is usually fed a supplement of feed corn as well. The environmental factors give … (11 comments)

camas: Mooning in Camas - 11/11/11 07:45 AM
"Mooning in Camas"conjurs up different images.  Perhaps a lovestruck someone in our charming little town mooning over someone special. Or, maybe a silly or naughty someone, dropping his/or her drawers and "mooning"  City Hall in an effort to get a reaction. However, these are not the mooning incidents of this writer's focus.  Far from it - literally. In fact, the moon is approximately 238,854 miles from earth, and therefore Camas.  Lately, it appears so bright in our night sky that one can imagine reaching out and touching it. We are currently in the Full Moon phase in Camas, Washington. In layman's terms … (17 comments)

Lacamas Shores - A Great Place to Live - Market Update 11/11/11

One of our favorite Camas neighborhoods is Lacamas Shores. We spend alot of time on the trails around Lacamas Lake, and Lacamas Shores is a neighborhood nestled in the banks above the lake. Therefore, we're quite familiar with all the outdoor amenities the location offers it's homeowners.  Residents enjoy close proximity to fishing, canoe and kayak paddling, water-skiing - and hiking and running trails.

Custom built homes in Camas, Fishers Landing and Washougal, Washington. $500,000 Plus - November 5, 2011 Custom is a term normally used to defined anything made or modified to personal taste. camas: Super EcoBroker - Sporting a Green Cape - 10/07/11 04:17 AM
Super EcoBroker - No, I won’t be sporting a Green Cape - but it’s an interesting idea. I’ve got some down time, waiting on a new listing, waiting on a pending short sale, and easily managing 3 other active listings.  Therefore, what am I doing? Other than the usual marketing - I’m using the extra time to kick it up a notch. As a Realtor with the NAR’s Green Designation, I’m committed to the ongoing educational requirements necessary if I’m to be a knowledgeable Green resource in my community.  That’s my number one goal. camas: There's No Place like Home in Camas, Washington! - 10/05/11 04:36 AM
There’s No Place like Home in Camas Washington!

We just got home form a whirlwind trip to the East Coast. My husband’s family lives in Maryland and we all gathered for a lovely wedding in Annapolis. It was my first time seeing the Chesapeake Bay, which, by the way is fabulous.

We ate blue crabs, dined out, danced at a yacht club, and enjoyed the teasing interactions between the siblings of a large family. It was an entertaining and fun experience for this West Coast native.

However, as much fun as it was, I’m so grateful … (21 comments)

camas: Zumba Anyone? Camas Community Center - 09/26/11 01:33 AM
 Zumba Anyone? Camas Community Center.

Are you ready to ditch the workout and join the party called Zumba?   I’ve been told by a fellow Realtor (Richard Yates) that I should consider Zumba as an alternative to running. Apparently, since I’ve recently fallen, (Oops, I did it again), actually twice this summer, (Help me I think I'm Falling), he thinks it might be a safer alternative. However, I think that if you have problems keeping upright while putting one foot in front of the other, imagine how dangerous it could be by adding more complicated motions to the process? No … (22 comments)
