Giving Back to Hospice
We are huge fans of the PeaceHealth Hospice program. They provided us with amazing home support during the last six months of our father's life. Hospice supplemented our own care for dad with weekly nursing visits and a personal-care aid. Emotional counselors periodically came to help prepare us for the inevitable. Mom even received home clergy visits, complete songs and guitar music designed to soothe her spirit.
Hospice programs are funded by private insurance, medicare, medicaid, and community support. Community support is provided through donations. Bernie and I regularly give a contribution to the program out of our real estate sales.

Mission statement: 100 Women Who Care Clark County is a group of inspired women who care about the community and want to make a huge impact
I'm (Debb) part of a group called, 100 Women Who Care Clark County. The goal of the organization is to make a difference by coming together to support the health and growth of our community. We meet quarterly ( once every 90 days) for an hour to hear presentations from three randomly chosen non-profits benefiting the community. We listen to short heart-felt speeches and then take a vote.
