selling: Gorgeous Garden-view Home in Washougal - Now Pending - 08/04/19 07:44 AM
The buyers of this lovely Washougal home know the importance of stopping to smell the flowers. There are plenty on this property. We first met them at an Open House and they fell in love with the home and the gardens, of course. They are downsizing from a very large home, but still want enough space for entertaining and visiting guests.
At 2860 sq feet, with a huge kitchen and dining room, 3 bedrooms, a media room, and an office, the floor plan suits their needs. One of their favorites about the home is a double-sided fireplace in the living room. It creates a wonderful spot to enjoy a … (21 comments)

selling: Selling your Home? One Important Step to Make the Showing Prep Easier - 07/19/19 08:03 AM

One of our lisiting clients is our dental hygenist. This week, during a scheduled cleaning, she told me her young daughter prayers everynight for their house to sell, but during her prayer quickly adds, but no showings please.
We got a kick out her words, as it really sums it up for many sellers. It's not fun to get your house ready for potential buyers within a few hours notice. Or in this case, keep your bedroom cleaned up everyday, per mom, just in case someone calls.
Their home has only been listed a little over a week too. Imagine the frustration that builds when homes take longer … (20 comments)

selling: Selling View Homes - It's All in a Day's Work ! - 09/22/18 09:53 AM
We just shared a post about one of our most recent transactions. It's another ViewHome™  located on six acres with stunning views.  Bernie sent me a photo from the inspection last week, and it reminded me how fortunate we are to be surrounded with the beauty and gifts from Nature while on the job. Lucky us!

selling: The Yin and Yang of Listing Homes - 04/17/18 04:18 PM
We're working on some new customized marketing plans for upcoming listings.  And while we know that the buying process is a mixture of emotions and logic, we really were struck with the Yin Yang aspect of getting a house ready to list. When things are second nature to us, we tend to forget the psychology behind the process.
Emotional Marketing
Know your audience. As always, identify your target demographic(s). Keep them in mind in all marketing efforts. It also helps to target where to best reach them. What are their emotional triggers?
First impressions matter. In marketing materials, and when a buyer drives up to a … (44 comments)

selling: Almost Fall’in in Camas, WA  - 09/14/14 03:42 AM
Impending Signs of Fall in Camas, WA

We’re enjoying our typical late summer, early fall weather in the Pacific Northwest. Cool mornings give way to warm and sunny afternoons, making for a very pleasant time of year. No wonder it’s our favorite time to get outside and enjoy nature.
In spite of the continued sunshine and seemingly never-ending tomato crop, the plants, shrubs, and trees are showing their late summer colors, and hinting of the changes ahead. Nature’s palette appears to soften before bursting forth in shades of red, orange, and gold.
The Perfect Palette of Nature

selling: Selling your home in Camas, WA - Fall is a great time! - 09/05/14 04:57 AM
Fall is a great time for selling your home in Camas.
Fall - it’s almost here. Officially, we have 17 days until the autumnal equinox.  There is still plenty of time to get your Camas home ready to sell during one of the best seasons of the year. Right now, our thoughts are turning from outdoor fun, to indoor cozy.  The warmth of the changing season adds to a house’s appeal.
In my opinion, fall gives us the chance to capitalize on those powerful emotion-evoking images of an inviting home. Potential buyers can easily see themselves relaxing in a … (23 comments)

selling: When it's Time to Say Goodbye to a House you Love - 02/17/14 04:09 AM
When it's time to Say Goodbye to a House you Love.
I fell in love with the property on my first visit. The 100 year-old farm house shone with careful restoration and charm.  The acreage that surrounded it was dotted with heirloom fruit trees and organic pathways winding through a variety of flower and veggie gardens.
The owner, and mother of one of my recent clients, wanted my opinion as to its value.  True comps were hard to find, but we came up with a plan for pricing. However, after a long interview, we determined she wasn’t emotionally ready to sell.
Our relationship … (61 comments)
