La Grange Texas is located about one hour south of Austin, 1.5 hours northwest of Houston or east of San Antonio, and about two hours from the Gulf Coast. Established as the county seat of Fayette County in the Republic of Texas back in the 1830's La Grange was popular with the German and Czech settlers.
