Who Thought a Pandemic Could Change Lives for the Better? Rising Above the Pandemic

Personally, this crazy pandemic could not have come at a more critical time in my life. I say that now because I don’t know what’s ahead but, at this juncture, the pandemic was a God-send in my personal life.

I’ve shared this with close friends and of course, my amazing husband, who has lived for nearly 25 years, with a workaholic. I remember growing up with a father who was one and to be honest, the man hung the moon in my eyes and the workaholism actually put another feather … (49 comments)

ar challenges: October Challenge - To Think is To Create - 10/17/20 02:24 PM
Oh my goodness, what wonderful posts our members are writing to submit to this month's challenge! Again, a huge thank you to Anna Banana Kruchten CRB, CRS, Broker, Instructor and Carol Williams for being such wonderful hostesses this month. We all appreciate you both!
We still have 2 weeks remaining to write posts to enter in the challenge. Have you written yours?

Here we are with only 3 months left in 2020, scary isn't it.  We imagine most of us are saying - thank goodness to that!  And we're betting that you think so as well!  What a spooky year it's been... on many levels.

ar challenges: When a Pandemic Hits, Bring on the Positive Attitude…and Network, Network, NETWORK! - 10/08/20 05:37 PM
When a Pandemic Hits, Bring on the Positive Attitude…and Network, Network, NETWORK!

Recently Anna Banana Kruchten CRB, CRS, Broker & Intructor shared a great article about networking. Tying that in with Lyn Sims' question about the election last week, made me think about some of the lessons we all learned during The Great Recession. While this is nothing remotely like the Great Recession, the pandemic has dealt us a different set of challenges - but, they are challenges just the same.

When times get tough, people often like to find scapegoats. They want to find someone to blame for their own problems. Whether it’s gas prices, the economy, … (34 comments)

A Wise Man Changes His Mind…A Fool Never Will
To Think is to Create

I’ve so enjoyed reading the entries into Anna Banana Kruchten CRB, CRS AZ Top Banana! and Carol Williams’ October Challenge 2020…and thank you both for your endless dedication to this amazing community!

I was reminded of the Spanish proverb in the title when I was told by someone in a challenging business, “There’s nothing I can do to help my business right now - it’s not worth the fight.”
The person who shared this was not someone in our business but, someone who really didn’t feel that fighting for their local business wasn't … (60 comments)

Whether Your Team Is In the Super Bowl or NOT - Super Bowl Party Passion IS In!

The reasons we are passionate about the game are many - some love the commercials, some have their hometown team playing the game, a relative playing in the game or we love getting together to share FOOD! This year, my reason is the last one - food!

This recipe has won in chili cook-offs so don't poo-poo any of the ingredients until you've tried this altogether! Here are a few things that I will substitute -
1. Ground Pork for the ground chuck - I like my … (15 comments)

Dog Days of Summer - Lake Style

I do a lot of business around the lake and one particular network of friends/clients is rather extensive - when one moves, they all tend to follow. I love hosting house-warming parties and this particular crew is so much fun! It seems we are celebrating someones birthday or someones new home a few times each year and honestly, some of the best times Ray and I have had together, have been with these crazy folks.

This end-of-summer bash brought a special group together once again - coincidentally, all but, two of the couples actually sold their lake homes and purchased new … (18 comments)
