I loved it and every customer or client that came through the doors, made mention of it too. Needless to say, the coffee bar was a big hit.

What to Repair in Your Charlotte Area Home Before You List

When representing buyers or sellers, I often find myself saying, “Put yourself in the [buyers] sellers shoes.” It is understandable if a seller feels hesitant investing money to fix up their current house prior to selling. However, as a seller, you may not realize that some of the issues you live with everyday and consider minor, may actually be considered major to home buyers. Such issues as the hallway light switch being loose or the kitchen sink that has a plumbing issue, can actually be deal-killers following the buyers’ home inspections. … (30 comments)

Hiring the Right Realtor® - 10 Tips for Happy Home-Selling

Before the onset of Internet real estate marketing, I created a DIY farming postcard titled, “Hiring the Right Realtor® makes a world of difference.”  I used that card for years and it has been copied by local agents more times than I can count! I have actually received my own postcard (verbatim, with another agent's name on it) at my own home on more than one occasion! Home Seller Tips: Marketing the Community Around Your Home to Prospective Buyers

Selling a home is more than a simple MLS real estate listing and making the home appealing to potential buyers. One factor to take into account when buying a home is its location, meaning the community that surrounds the home. After all, when you think real estate, you think location, location, location, right?!

For sellers, it is very important to highlight the benefits of living in a particular community. The bottom line is that neighborhoods do have an enormous impact on your future buyer’s living experience.

Rent vs Buy - Waiting Until Next Year Will Cost You Even More

Charlotte home prices have increased by 7.1% year-over-year. Over that same time period, interest rates have remained historically low, which has allowed many buyers to enter the market. Interest rates are beginning to increase ever-so slightly though.

What Does This Mean as a Charlotte Home Seller?
As a seller, you will likely be most concerned about ‘short-term price’ – where are home values headed in the course of the next six months? Will your buyer pool be reduced with an increase in interest rates?
