Speechless Sunday - A Happy Mother's Day Indeed!

I received a message from my son earlier this week to block time on my calendar today for brunch with he and his wife. We had a lovely lunch at Roots, a wonderful restaurant located in the Dilworth/South End area. It's always such a delight to spend time with them - we always have so much fun and enjoy lots of laughter together!

After visiting with my mother-in-law, we arrived home and later this divine fruit/chocolate arrangement arrived! Behind it are 2 of the 3-dozen tulips that my hubby and the boys sent me to celebrate the day.

Speechless Sundays - Mellow Meow Meows
My client & I were 'warned' in the showing instructions, "Don't let the cat out!" So, we cautiously opened the door to find not one, but two lovelies perched, side-by-side in the family room, both responding (in sync) with a "meow!" Neither of them budged, they just welcomed us and stayed right on their little perch the entire showing yesterday.

This photo was taken after we spent about 30 minutes exploring the house - these adorable fur babies never budged!

Hope you all have a great week ahead!

Friday Diary of a Charlotte Realtor® - 13OCT17

Friday the 13th...I'm not the least bit superstitious but, do often joke about this day being a day that we should all hibernate! This year, today was one of the best days I had this week!

Last Saturday, I spent with my family, many of whom I haven't seen in over a year and it was such a treat to get to see them, each and every one of them. We all traveled from far and wide to attend my MawMaw's funeral and as we all left town, I realized that my MawMaw was the … (19 comments)

Friday Diary of a Charlotte Realtor® | 22SEP17
Another wonderful week in Charlotte! The weather has been perfect for lunch meetings and dining on outdoor patios of some fantastic SouthPark restaurants, showing homes, clients doing their final walk-throughs, Closing on their dream homes and an inspection this week!

The lesson of the week is a repeating one and you'd think that my list of Worst Lenders in the US would be complete by now but, another one managed to rear his ugly head...

One of my wonderful sellers, relocating to Florida, was due to Close yesterday in Charlotte, then fly to Florida for Closing … (24 comments)

Friday Diary of a Charlotte Realtor® - 04AUG17
Another week in the books and another great week in real estate! Personally, not so much!  Seriously, the week started with a bang personally - I somehow made it to and through a seller Closing and then was back to the oral surgeon for a little set-back in last week's surgery. My seller was not aware at all but, thankfully it was a seller Closing and not a buyer Closing on Monday!

With a typically very high pain tolerance, I couldn't understand why I had been in agony all weekend. I phoned the surgeon Monday … (18 comments)

Friday Diary of a Charlotte Real Estate Agent - 30JUN17

In preparation of a long holiday weekend, I believe that every single one of my buyer and seller clients raised their hands this week...even those buyers who haven't looked at homes in several months! So, needless to say, some of those raised hands made Offers, others will resume their search after the long weekend...and otherwise, it was a week of business-as-usual!

The Low Appraisal Bug passed us by this week (THANK GOD!) but, with two appraisal issues on the table from last week, one has been resolved (another THANK GOD!)! I've learned that … (10 comments)

Friday Diary of A Charlotte Real Estate Agent - May 26, 2017
Like it was yesterday, I vividly remember thinking Monday morning as I headed to my early morning Closing, thinking, "I can't believe it's Monday already!"  Today Tonight as I sit at my keyboard, exhausted but, happy, I can hardly believe it's already Friday!
It always seems that when a holiday weekend is approaching, the week prior is filled with unexpected 'issues' and obstacles to overcome in every single transaction! Well, barring a few of the transactions currently in Escrow, that was the case this week!
Here are but, a few of the crazy … (14 comments)

Friday Diary - A Solid Week of Real Estate Project Management

Project Management
I have debated with many that when representing buyers, I don't consider my job a 'salesman's' job - I consider it a project management job!  Why? I want my buyers to select a home of THEIR choice - I don't push homes on them, nor do steer buyers to certain homes. To me, that would be working as a salesman!

Anyway, I digress! Some transactions just seem to flow...others, the amount of management needed is simply unbelievable!  This week, I had two of those transactions that Closed that required an inordinate level … (16 comments)

Bartender, Make it a Double!
I'm not sure that I could have planned a better week if I tried!  It's been crazy, busy here in Charlotte - lots of buyers who are under Contract are now in their Due Diligence periods so, I've seen our inspectors several times this week.  Yesterday, I met my favorite Structural Engineer as a follow-up for something found during the earlier inspection of a fabulous historic home!

The weather remains wonky but, we had a few days of gorgeous spring weather this week. We thoroughly enjoyed savoring the beauty that Mother Nature provides us!
My husband, who has been going through some … (30 comments)
