fur babies charlotte nc: Speechless Sundays - Kitty Society - 12/18/22 03:38 PM
Speechless Sundays - Kitty SocietyWe still had a few guests from our Humane Society event when the kitties decided to gang up on me to get to the food that was in front of the kitties! OH MY GOODNESS, were they ever relentless...cute, but, relentless! LOL
A fun night was had by all and the local shelters were blessed with a ton of blanket donations. A 'thank you' hardly seems enough to the wonderful clients and neighbors who donated this year. We truly appreciate you all!

Saturday's Shots - One Comfy Poochie!
I've never seen a fur baby that could get so comfy SO quickly! Madelaine can fall asleep at the drop of a hat - and does. We find her uber comfy in the most 'unusual' spaces.
*And, yes, she owns my last pair of Uggs - they belong to her! It keeps her from snagging my current pair!!

Hope you have the 'comfiest' of weekends!!

fur babies charlotte nc: Speechless Sundays - Tiny Blessings Make Our Lives SO Much More Special - 07/03/22 10:10 PM
Speechless Sundays - Tiny Blessings Make Our Lives SO Much More SpecialOkay, maybe not so speechless!
We lost our sweet Duke in May of this year and have been feeling like our hearts have been broken in a million pieces. To make the pain even deeper, we have been watching our other senior dog, Barney, age by the day. We think he was depressed because he lost his best friend and agonized over adopting another dog…or not.

We decided to search locally for a small, more docile dog that Barney would enjoy ‘showing the ropes’ to as he did when we adopted Duke. … (20 comments)

fur babies charlotte nc: Not So Wordless Wednesday - My Handsome Seniors - 03/30/22 07:24 PM
Not So Wordless Wednesday - My Handsome SeniorsToday was grooming day and I can't say enough wonderful things about our groomer at Grateful Paws! Duke (the black & white one) is both deaf & blind and he has terrible hip dysplasia, making it a challenge to groom him in recent years. The staff at Grateful Paws are amazing and are always so gentle with my boys.

Barney (the blonde) is a little 'grumpy' in his older years so I always worry about him being snippy. Every time I pick the boys up from their grooming appointment, the groomer tells me, 'they are … (10 comments)

Wordless Wednesday - As the Crow Flies
Our fur babies bring us so much pleasure in this life. Sweet Jack doesn't have a position that isn't simply 'the cutest!' Today, he snuggled up on one of the chairs by the window to watch the crows congregate at the shoreline, a very unusual occurrence here.  He sat, watching them for hours. Of course, we pondered what he was thinking - perhaps, "How does that crow fly?!"
Happy Wednesday!

Speechless Sundays - Speechless Sundays - Yeah, What if?

These two precious babies found a new home this week and it seems they are fitting right in with the book nerds of the house! Gracie Rose (left) and Jack Aiden are siblings that came for a home visit for us to choose one. We couldn't decide so, we adopted them both!

We welcome two more bookworms to the family...

Speechless Sundays - Not So Private Bath
Little Miss Emma Belle loves water. I often find her in the kitchen sink or sitting in Ray's sink in the bathroom while I'm brushing my teeth at my sink. She peeks around the open shower and I'm just waiting for the day she decides to come on in and join me!

Do you mind drawing a bath for me?

Happy Sunday Everyone!

fur babies charlotte nc: Speechless Sundays - "Christmas Wore Me Out!" - 12/29/19 09:04 PM
Speechless Sundays - "Christmas Wore Me Out!"

This dog has two speeds - wild & crazy or out-like-a-light (and snoring like a man)! He is always the first of our 3 to greet guests when they arrive and the holidays are always quite busy at our home. So, our prompt & curteous host, Barney, was also quite busy this week.

When our guests were all gone, Barney slept...and slept...and even slept with his eyes open!

This baby boy just puts a big smile on my face - I love my fur babies!
