My husband and I are fortunate to live along the Monarch butterfly migration route. Every spring the butterflies flit through headed north. Each fall sees them drifting south toward their winter home in Mexico. Every year or two, the trees along the back of our acre serve as a rest stop for the Monarchs. Clusters of butterflies hang in the trees like so many leaves along branches--usually when the weather is on the warm side. Monarchs don't like to travel when the temps are above 85 or so.
