Today I had a listing appointment very first thing... Princess was pretty excited that I came to list her Nampa Idaho home... She had to be up on her Mommy Faye's lap in order to reach the contract. She had her pen ready to sign all the paperwork... After awhile Princess was a bit bored and nearly fell asleep while I was explaining all the paperwork... The best part of this listing? Is it the First Day of Spring....Or the First Day of Winter in Nampa Idaho? At the beginning of the Month of March I wrote a blog about March coming in like a Lion and I hoped that meant it would go out like a Lamb... Well I hoped and guessed wrong.... Why did I choose Real Estate? I truly believe I was destined for a job in the Sales Arena from a very young age! When I was in kindergarten we were all asked what we wanted to be when we grew up.... Many of the young girls answered that they wanted to be a teacher, a mommy, or a nurse.... These were typical 1970 little girl dreams.... I read an AP article in the Idaho Press Tribune yesterday.... It was only a couple of paragraphs.... (surprising as they like to sensationalize this type of news...) The article's headline stated "Home Sales on Pace to be Worst in 14 years" Don't know about you....and your market.... we know Real Estate is Local.... and maybe we won't sell as many homes this year.... But I do know that personally I am busy... Busier than I have been in recent years.... Why? Because I haven't bought into the hype... I sometimes wish I could be a cat.... Maybe more specifically my cat! This cat lives the life of leisure...... She is extremely demanding.... When she is hungry you will know it.... When she is wanting attention you will know it.... But all in all what would I do with out her? She offers unconditional love to her Mommy! She is there to comfort when I need it And she welcomes me home every night so I don't have to arrive to a lonely house! I love it when she sleeps next to her Raggedy Sister..... Reading Barbara Hensleys post this morning made me think of how easy it is to write up a real estate deal.....but getting it to close...that is where the finesse comes in! !! I have written up more deals this year and not nearly all of them have closed or will close....some are outbid from the get go.... Others just seem to "fish tail" along and do close but not without a lot of work on our parts as Realtors. I have been blogging pretty consistently since February of 2010. I had joined Active Rain July of 2009 but i pretty much just lurked when i should have been working it!! I got the blog itch and went from there.... I got real consistent last fall with a number of consistency 30 day challenges.... Now blogging is a lot easier...typically i will write 10 blogs a week but always a blog a day! Not always does it get posted every day though! For those who read my Blog yesterday.... I am very happy to report that for the first time ever.... I was actually happy to hear my four legged fur-baby Cleo, Meow at 4 this morning! It was actually music to my ears! Who knows where here adventures took her since Thursday night! When I picked her up she was warm as could be.... So I can only wonder...
