Clarksville's 2016 Christmas Parade

Mark the date for the 57th Annual Christmas Parade in Clarksville in Downtown Clarksville. Saturday, December 3rd the crowds will gather to see the night's Christmas Parade. There will be plenty of floats, clowns, decorated cars, trucks, emergency vehicles and horses and walkers. Individuals are also allowed to walk in the parade but everything and everyone must have lights. This year's theme is Christmas Trees and Memories.

The Clarksville Christmas Parade starts at Austin Peay State University's parking lot at 5pm. Entrants in the parade must check in much earlier. There are entry fees and prizes given for the best decorated in several categories. The travel … (13 comments)

Throwback Thursdays - Governor Peay
If you live in Clarksville, TN you are very familiar with the name Austin Peay. There is a state university in town with that and students come from all over the world to study at this Liberal Arts school. The mascot is called a Governor and the fans are proud to be called Governors or Peay Nuts. Now when the name is used people are referring to the university not the man that it was named for.
