comments: New to ActiveRain, You Should Read This - 09/11/17 09:58 AM
New to ActiveRain, This is for YOU.
Though it wasn't a few days ago and it has been a few years, I do remember being new to ActiveRain. I happened upon this site up because someone told me that I should blog and suggested ActiveRain as a good place to start. That person said to grow my business and be found on Google I had to be blogging.

So that very day, I searched it out, found it and signed up. I paid for a full year of service. I filled out my profile and wrote my first post. Whew! I was … (40 comments)

Ask an Ambassador- Is Anyone Reading My Posts?

The truth is you will not know how many people are reading your posts. No matter how many views you get, you have no assurance that everyone that clicks on your posts are reading them. If a person leaves a meaningful comment you can rest assured that they did read the bulk of it but understand that not all readers bother to leave a comment. They may have nothing to say or have no time to say it. Comments are not a measure of how many times it has been read.
That is evident by the comments … (47 comments)

comments: Your Blog Post Got Me to Thinking - 02/26/17 11:32 AM
Your Blog Triggered a Thought

When reading blogs I like to take the time to leave a comment. Many times I find myself thinking of another set of circumstances that I want to share about the topic. Your blog post got me to thinking.
While writing the comment I realize I have too much to say and don't want to hijack the post and dominate the comment section with a diatribe response. Even while making the comment I may think of another two or three points to make but know I need to be brief and keep it a comment. Has this … (70 comments)

comments: Today is National Post a Comment Day - 12/13/15 08:45 AM
Today is National Post a Comment Day

Today, December 15 is National Post a Comment Day. I named the day just now and that makes it so.  Last year I declared December 10 to be National Post a Blog Day. See how easy that is?

Join in the fun and write a comment and post it today right here. Most of you write every day somewhere but some of  you just read and never comment. Come on and post a comment on any network and on any topic you choose. The idea is to participate and even better to make your comment pertain to the post or the season. This is … (24 comments)

comments: Get 4 Extra Points on Your Posts - 12/08/13 12:31 PM
Get 4 Extra Points on Your Posts.
This will work on many of your posts. Did you know if you will respond to comments made by others on your posts, you will get 4 extra points in your point total? This is especially important if you didn't get a lot of comments on a particular post. Generally a blog post tops out at 325 points with about 20-25 comments. Wordier comments get more points.
Another reason to post a comment on your own post is to answer any questions and to acknowledge that others have left you comments. Add to the conversation and most … (27 comments)

comments: A Comment for a Comment - 03/20/13 01:11 AM
A Comment for a Comment.  I subscribe to lots of bloggers. Most are very active bloggers and blog almost every day. Even though I cannot possibly make 150 comments a day, I do try to comment on many of the blogs. I read some featured blogs and some on the blog rolls and comment on some of those too. If I subscribe I try to give a couple of comments a week to those bloggers just so the writer knows I am reading and enjoying. It's a challenging balance. I suppose this principle works in all types of social media or networking.

comments: Daily Drop, Daily Double or Daily Trouble? - 06/13/12 02:37 AM
Daily Drop, Daily Double or Daily Trouble? Wow, what is happening to my email inbox? All these email notifications started pouring in and I didn't understand why. I had no idea that the Daily Drop on ActiveRain had tagged my post, Should You Choose An Old or Young Agent?.
After logging on to my ActiveRain account, I started reading the comments. And yes I have read every single one of them. Daily Drop, Daily Double or Daily Trouble? I'm not quite sure at this point.
First, I have never had a featured Daily Drop post since I only started actively blogging in March … (12 comments)
