It takes 8 hours to get to the beach if we drive but once I am there I feel like I am in heaven. The sugar sand beaches of Destin are the prettiest beaches I know and the water is so pretty in contrast to it. I am thankful for beaches, walking in the sand, sitting and reflecting, getting time to read and chill out on the beach and looking for seashells. I like jumping the waves and wading in to my knees. Thankful for My Faith This photo is one of my favorite sunset photos taken in Destin, FL. It conveys to me a peaceful presence. The weather was perfect and the winds were gently blowing over the bay. It was taken with my Canon Rebel 3i. It reminds me of the calm that is given by having faith.
Having a strong faith keeps me together when life is pulling me apart. We have all had those times when we lose a loved one or get some incredibly bad news. That is part of life.

A Good Reason to Love the Beach. There are many reasons to love the beach. I enjoy it each time I visit. The salt breeze blowing through my hair and on my face are good reasons. The smell of the sea air is another good reason. The white sand on my feet feels like fine sugar. The gorgeous view and sound of the waves is so relaxing.
