I'm an avid reader. I love to read about technology, history, real estate, and self-improvement. I recently came across a book written by a local Broker/Lawyer in my area titled "Finishing on Top: How to achieve personal goals, become successful, and experience happiness through the power of finishing by Sherman Toppin, ESQ. In the book, the author makes mention of "Finishing Friends". After surviving an 8-day settlement process, I wish to no longer cooperate with real estate agents that are not Realtors. The difference in my opinion is ethics and honesty. I do not know if that is a possibility with the MLS rules, but if not, I will surely advocate for such a thing. Why? Cooperating with agents that are free from following the Code of Ethics that we as Realtors pledge to follow is very frustrating.
