daytona beach: Follow the 'BOUNCING' Ball - 10/25/07 01:34 AM
A few weeks ago I blogged about the marvels of WD-40 and received several comments.
Today, I discovered, I think, some even more impressive household tips, using Bounce. That little piece of paper[?] that many of us put in the dryer with our clothes. I thought I'd 'Bounce' these off you.
Did you know?
1. It repels mosquitoes... tie it on your belt loop while playing golf or any outdoor summer activity, and stay 'bite free'. Also helps repels bees.
2. Put one in that seldom looked at photo album to prevent that old, musty odor.
3. Wipe your t.v. screen with a used one, and the … (6 comments)

daytona beach: Realtors..We're suppose to be messengers....not competitors. - 10/22/07 04:17 AM
How many times have we dealt with Realtors who seem to have an emotional attachment to their buyers and their buyers property. Sometimes develop an adverserial relationship with the other Realtor, even though we both have the same goal. To sell the house. Offering un-asked for opinions, except in warranted situations, is uncalled for. PRESENT THE OFFER. Let the customer decide. Please don't do it in a negative manner .Remember,we both get paid if the deal goes through.Be PROFESSIONAL in all that you do.Guide you customer through the process.in a positive manner.Respond to any offers in a timely manner.Represent your customer as you … (6 comments)

daytona beach: It's a very small world...but I wouldn't wanna have to paint it!! - 10/16/07 08:24 PM
I remember ,as a child, it was not very commonplace  to meet many people  from other countries. We, as kids, would laugh at someone speaking with an accent, instead of realizing that person speaks more languages than we do, and should be respected. Travel was not as easy as it is now, comparatively speaking, the cost has been reduced, and what was once a long, arduous trip has been condensed into a matter of hours.Almost all countries have become neighbors, because of this. We are truly a multi- cultured country. I look around my office, and I marvel at the many diferent languages spoken here. Aside from ,of … (2 comments)

daytona beach: Mr.Realtor..How much is that house at 310 Main St.? - 10/15/07 01:54 AM
How many times have you answered a call like this ,gave the price, and the caller thanked you and hung up.WRONG!!!! We are in business to sell, not just to give out free information.
I was taught to engage the caller in conversation first...something like this.

As I recall, this also has a split bedroom plan.  Would that work for you? Good. It also has a Family Room and … (7 comments)

daytona beach: Port Orange Florida. You've come a long way baby... - 10/05/07 02:33 AM

When I first arrived in the Daytona /Port Orange Area in 1980, Port Orange had just completed a year of being named,  the Number One fastest growing city in the United States. Quite a fete for an unheralded town that only 3700 people called home in the early '70's. Today over 56,000 folks claim a Port Orange address thanks to a well planned and well managed city development plan.
I remember when the high rise Port Orange Bridge, was a drawbridge,  and how difficult it was to get to the beach on the weekend. The bridge-tender was obligated to raise the bridge for boats with … (4 comments)
