The High Line, in New York City’s Chelsea section, proved to be a pleasant place to spend some time for a couple of visiting Delaware gardeners this last week.
The High Line, a long abandoned raised rail line which once hauled meat to various plants and has now been re-purposed as an estimated 20 block long garden, is located on Manhattan's West Side. It runs from Gansevoort Street in the Meatpacking District to West 34th Street, between 10th & 11th Avenues. The first section of the High Line opened on June 9, 2009.
