Gamesa Corporation is the University of Delaware's partner in Lewes Delaware in a $5 million wind turbine project. The company manufactured and installed the 2-megawatt wind turbine, which is capable of providing electricity for the entire campus. Patrick Harker, University of Delaware (UD) President said the college embraced this project and said Delaware has become a hub for groundbreaking environmental science, progressive policies and productive collaborative efforts. The Rehoboth Beach Country Club golf course has retained its designation as a certified Audubon cooperative sanctuary through the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program for Golf Courses, an Audubon International program. Rehoboth Beach Country Club is one of only 798 courses in the world to receive the honor. Various Sussex County Delaware locations were the scenes of the new Indie film, Drift. Finbar's Pub and Grill in Rehoboth Beach became a movie set. Actress Greta Gerwig, slid into a booth next to actor, Olly Alexander, dolled up in a long, fuchsia dress.Drift is an independent film about infidelity and self-discovery set in the Cape Region. For those familiar with Plantation Road in Lewes and Rehoboth Beach Delaware, the two lane residential area that runs behind the business complexes on the Route 1 corridor needs to remain residential. A planned 22,500 square foot medical complex is not a welcome addition to the upscale neighborhood. Plantation Road is a well used road for locals, keeping residential traffic away from Coastal Highway. The proposed complex would impede the traffic flow of the 11 subdivisions found in the immediate area. I am so sick of hearing these stories about short sales and how the banks are refusing to cooperate and how they attempt to cut commissions, and how they drag their feet, how we lose clients over the frustration, how the government has put no enforceable guidelines in place, etc, etc, etc. It's for these very reasons I don't do short sales transactions.
