There has been great debate and publicity surrounding the “Over The River” project. The world famous Cristo is planning on draping the Arkansas River with approx 6 miles of fabric. The debates include things like environmental concerns, traffic, employment, wildlife, local established business, new business and general bother to the city. Florence CO Nov 2010 It's not unusual to see a flock of wild turkeys around Southern Colorado. It did strike me as funny that they are in the same yard as the horses and neither seemed to be bothered. This pictures was taken on CR #119 along the Arkansas River.
