colorado: Pumpkin Fairy in Boone Colorado - 11/01/06 10:37 AM
Boone Colorado is one of those 'don't blink' towns or you will miss it. It's  a quite farm community just east of Pueblo. Driving past Boone makes you feel like you have been on  an old fashioned 'Sunday Drive'. The article below is from the Pueblo Cheftain, a 'good news' sort of story. Don't you wish this kind of thing happened more often EVERYWHERE!

colorado: Buyers Market in Colorado - 10/27/06 05:09 AM
Pueblo continues to make the forclosure lists. While this makes nobody happy, it does give buyers and investors an opportunity. Pueblo is the place people like to retire to because of the cost of living. However, the economy could use a good kick. The Colorado Small Business people tell me that small and large companies both look to Southern Colorado to relocate to because of the opportunities that are here. Costs are low and employees are plentiful.
The saying goes buy low and sell high. This list below should give people something to think about. And it's nice to see Colorado on … (2 comments)

colorado: Fremont County Colorado - 10/26/06 12:43 PM
Fremont County Colorado is known for many, many things. Mostly it is known for the Royal Gorge Bridge, the Arkansas River, Dinosaurs, and prisons. But I think mostly the residents of the area appreciate the beauty. The Arkansas River Valley is surrounded by spectacular mountains, including Pikes Peak.
I grew up in Los Angeles, you’ve been there or at least seen it in the movies. Fremont county is everything L.A. isn’t. It’s quite, calm, beautiful, scenic and you don’t have to wait two hours to get a table for dinner. In fact it sometimes hard to dine out on a holiday … (3 comments)

colorado: What's your fear? - 10/15/06 03:45 PM

I have an acquaintance who started working as a Mary Kay representative about one year ago.
Jill has given up the corporate life and wants to stay home with her kids more. She told me at our last networking meeting that she just finished earning her SECOND car! And she and her husband just got back from a nice vacation with the kids.
I’m thinking how? Why? How come I haven’t? Seriously 2 cars in one year! Ok, Jill how did you accomplish so much in such a short time?
Jill said one thing that has stuck with me now for … (4 comments)

Paint the Town this weekend in Florence
Charlotte BurrousThe Daily Record
FLORENCE — Artists will be out on site to capture the essence of Florence. Starting today and continuing Saturday, artists will paint a variety of subjects from locations around the community within a six-block radius of Main Street and Pikes Peak Avenue.
Sponsored by the Florence Art Council, the art festival has been expanded to two days this year, said Bob Wood of the art council.
“Hopefully, we’ll get more artists than we had last year,” Wood said. “Last year, we had 35 artists and 53 paintings.”
The event, which kicked … (0 comments)
