State Farm has announced that it will be pulling out of Florida, resulting in 1.2 million uninsured homeowners. Floridians who need homeowners insurance more than anyone due to hurricanes will be feeling the pinch of non-renewals this year.
Everyone knows that Florida's storms can be devastating, and Florida's homeowners know this more than anyone. Despite hurricane warnings and the expectancy of them that residents have come to know, no amount of preparation prevents the storms, and damage is unavoidable.
State Farm is also discontinuing policies for apartments, boat owners, businesses, churches, contractors, condo unit owners, renters, earthquakes, and many more.
