Many buyers from out of state or 1st time buyers always ask about Escrow and what it is. Escrow is to everyone's benefit in a real estate transaction as it is a neutral party who ensures all paperwork is complete. Escrow also holds any and all funds and does not disburse the money until after all the t's have been crossed and all the paperwork is complete. The escrow officer is the person who makes sure the terms of the contract are carried out according to the contract.
