Talking a homeowner into removing worn and/or dated carpeting can be a tough sale sometimes.  I had this scenario play out very close to home recently.  We are in the process of preparing my Mother-in-law's out-of-town home for sale.  It's a beautiful home with loads of potential, but it is in need of some updating.  The main drawback in my opinion was the orange carpeting.

Kathy Nielsen of Georgia Interior Solutions LLC, has posted another challenge to all of her home staging peers.  This one is to share photos of our favourite kitchen staging transformations from 2008.  And a challenge it was, as first, I had to establish exactly which room in the house the kitchen was.  After quizzing my Husband in a round-about sort of way, I figured it out - the room with the appliances :-).

Dezigner Digz had the pleasure of working with a terrific client recently that understood the value of home staging to the home selling process.  The only request that our client made was that we were not to paint any of the rooms, so we worked with the existing "builder's white" paint colour.
Who says that white walls have to be boring?  With the introduction of colourful accessories and artwork, this home was brought to life. 
        
Combined with de-cluttering and furniture re-arrangement, this great room takes on a sophisticated, urban vibe.
