We are selling them faster than we can list them! A great sign for the recovering real estate market in Louisville, KY. Homes are selling at a faster rate than they are being listed. The chart below shows the amount of inventory from 1 year ago until today. Prices still remain steady so even though inventory is lower, its still a BUYER'S market. With current interest rates its a win-win for buyers. In the below graph I compared the number of single family homes that sold and closed for 2009, 2010 and 2011:
Encouraging to see that 2011 we are up in number of units sold from the year before.
The below graph compares the median sales price for single family homes from 2009, 2010 and 2011:
Even though 2010 saw a decrease in number of units sold the median sales price jumped considerably (up $8,000) from 2009. 2011 stayed about the same as the year before in … (3 comments)
